Energy Performance Certification (EPC)
From October 2008, EPC is required for all new or existing properties which are built, sold or rented.
EPC Basics
- EPC provides a guide of a building's energy efficiency
- EPC classify buildings into seven (A-G) categories: A for very efficient properties, G for very inefficient
- EPC includes a Recommendation Report with suggested improvements and expected payback periods
