Building Regulation Part L Compliance Advice & Reports
Part L Compliance Checks are required for nearly all new buildings, including extensions with total useful floor areas greater than 100m2 and greater than 25% of the total useful floor area of the existing building.
New buildings are appraised in accordance with Approved Document L2 and awarded a PASS or FAIL.
In order to achieve a PASS buildings have to meet the following criteria:
- Building Emission Rate must be less or equal to Target Emission Rate (BER<= TER)
- Buildings should perform no worse than minimum standards (assessment of U-values, fixed services, lighting levels, air permeability of the building)
- Buildings must not overheat in the summer
We are able to offer compliance checks on Non-Domestic Buildings in accordance with AD Part L2A or L2B.
